Abstract

This article is focused on the tasks that a teacher develops, as they represent the minimum unit of study of every profession that allow us to go close to a better definition of the characteristics and competencies of the professional of the education, in other words to his profile. For this reason, it was developed the Inventory of the Teachers Tasks of the Basic Education, exposing the methodology used for its design. The instrument was designed ad hoc from six studies related to the subject and the Job Analysis Technique (JAT); there were conducted a validation with the participation of 20 experts and the pilotage with 174 Ecuadorian university graduates and their employers. The final inventory was structured in seven dimensions and 58 teaching tasks of this level. These dimensions studied and adapted to the university curriculum will be an indicator of quality for training and professionalization of future teachers.

Resumen

Este artículo se centra en las tareas del docente, ya que al ser la unidad mínima de estudio de toda profesión permite acercarnos a una mejor definición de las características y competencias del profesional de la educación, en suma, de su perfil. Para ello, se ha elaborado el Inventario de Tareas Docentes de Educación Básica, exponiendo la metodología empleada en su diseño. El instrumento diseñado ad hoc parte de seis estudios relacionados con la temática y de la técnica de Análisis de Puestos de Trabajo (APT); se realizó la validación con la participación de 20 expertos y el pilotaje a 174 titulados de una universidad ecuatoriana y sus respectivos empleadores. El inventario final quedó estructurado en siete dimensiones y 58 tareas docentes de este nivel educativo. Estas dimensiones estudiadas y adaptadas al currículo universitario, serán un indicador de la calidad para la formación y profesionalización de los futuros profesores.
